How can we improve Maya?

Add Input Mesh Control Aero Emitter in Boundary Controls

Currently there's only two options, box and sphere, I want to be able to put in a gear or some other mesh, so I can briefly animate a unique boundary over a torus so I can adjust what parts of the torus emitter are in the boundary. Currently I can only use the box and scale the boundary in a way to affect the torus with the four corners of the box boundary. If I had a gear mesh, I could adjust how many segments of the gear boundary encompass the torus emitter and further control the emission points
